The Best Tips on Choosing the Right Bridesmaid Dresses

It’s your wedding soon and you are probably getting super excited about your big day! And why shouldn’t you – it’s one of the most wonderful moments of your life and you should cherish it. Still, for the wedding celebration to be just the way you’ve imagined it, there are so many things to take care of.

Naturally, it all can be managed easily if you’ve got a good plan on your hands and a sold budget. However, there are also some things that don’t depend on anything else but your stylist choices, and one of those things is choosing the right bridesmaid dresses for your bridesmaids! If you are not sure what the right steps for choosing those dresses are, or even where to start, we are giving you some of the best tips on the matter.

Make them Beautiful

While there is this idea that bridesmaids should look awful (or at least not that they should but they most often do), truth is – that’s a totally wrong way to go about it. Your whole wedding is going to be stunning, then why shouldn’t all of you look gorgeous, and that includes your bridesmaids!

Obviously, you don’t want the bridesmaids to look better than you and steal your spotlight, but you want them to look just beautiful enough. In all honesty, it’s probably impossible for anyone to steal your thunder but okay – all brides are a bit scared like that. Just, make it your business to choose beautiful dresses for your bridesmaids, and also – make sure they don’t stand out.

Take a look at Your Dress

Your dress is going to be the talk of the event, so you want it to be something tasteful, something after your own taste, and a dress that will take everyone’s breath away. You’ll probably choose white, champagne or eggshell color (even some other color can work), and when you do, choose the bridesmaid dresses so that they correspond the color of your dress (agree with your color) and that they fit the theme of the wedding. The current trend amongst celebrities is to have all the bridesmaids dressed in white, too… but if you don’t want too many girls in white there, opt for any other color you like. The preferable choices are toned down shades like gray, purple, green, black, ocher… just don’t choose colors that pop too much ‘cos that way you are running the risk of making it all look too tacky. This goes for the flower girl dresses, too – you want everyone to look synced and gorgeous.

Accessorize Properly

If you are a bride who likes accessorize such as hair bands, flowers in the hair, jewelry, bracelets and other ornaments, make sure that your bridesmaids aren’t overwhelmed with the amount of accessorize you’ve envisioned for them. Instead of having them wear huge hats and flower bracelets, have them wear a flower in their hair or a sparkly hairband that will give the look that ‘wow’ it’s been lacking. It’s important for your bridesmaids’ accessorize to be synchronized with yours, so don’t go overboard with anything.

Think about the Time of Day and Season

There’s probably nothing as foul as showing up in attire that is totally off to the time of day or season. For instance, if you are having a winter wedding and you show up in a dress with straps only, that’s absolutely wrong! So, when you are choosing both your dress and your bridesmaids’ dresses, make sure they fit the temperature outside and inside, the season and time of day so nobody looks ridiculous… you don’t want to have excessive sweating or freezing around, do you?

We hope our advice helped at least a bit! Have a happy wedding and a lovely life!
