With your wedding day rapidly approaching, you want to make sure that you have everything under control. You’ve probably spent long hours thinking about all the little details that are going to make your wedding magnificent. If you’re looking for ways to stand out from the crowd and to make your wedding truly unique and memorable, we have a few ideas that you’re going to love.
Think of the children
You are probably going to have guests who have children. Some people will not find it difficult to drop their kids off at their parents’ house or hire a sitter for the evening, but it isn’t the option for others. You can always hire one or two babysitters and set them up in a room so that children have a place to go when they feel tired or overwhelmed. You can also hire a magician and set up an entertainment section for kids which you’ll stock with toys, crayons, and snacks, so they always have a place to turn to when they get bored (which they inevitably will soon enough).
Change your wedding dress
Of course, everyone will be looking at you that day, and you will be Instagramming your dress for weeks to come, so why not spice it up a bit and have more than one dress for the day? You can choose a classic wedding dress for the official ceremony, but later on, you can change into something a bit shorter and more daring for the reception. What is more, you don’t even have to have a classic wedding dress – your partner and you can both get married in tuxedos, or you can wear a dress in a bright color – red, green, or purple.
Make your photos stand out
Your wedding day is not the time to be saving money on photographs, but more than hiring a professional photographer, you need to think of a way to make your wedding photos stand out. You will be looking back at them for the rest of your life, and you want them to be special, romantic, and a little bit crazy. Invite guests to light sprinklers when you share your first kiss as a married couple, get a couple of trampolines and jump like children, have guests throw flower petals instead of confetti, and go to a secluded location to do a private, romantic photoshoot with your beloved.
A creative guest book
Guests books are slowly becoming tradition, and they’re a great way for your guests to get a chance to wish you luck. On the other hand, guest books are slowly becoming obsolete, and you can think beyond those traditional guest books and get creative. Invite your guests to leave a colorful fingerprint on a tree, make a jigsaw puzzle of the photo of the two of you and have guests sign each piece, or ask them to engrave their names on a silver tray with engraving pens so that you get both a useful keepsake and a lasting message.
Your own hashtag
Everybody uses social networks these days, so why not use it to your advantage? Invite your guests to take photos and videos of your big day and to post it on social media using a creative hashtag that symbolized your great day. This way, you can browse Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook after a couple of days and find lovely content your friends and family members made while you were having fun.
The most important thing is for you two to stay true to yourself and stick to things that are important to you and that you love. You are going to remember this day for the rest of your life, and it’s only natural that you want it to be unique. Make sure you add at least a small trinket that represents the two of you and do whatever you can to make your wedding stand out.
